From the Moon to Mars and Back Again.
This weekend (from 26 to 28 September) you are warmly invited, once again, to the Borderless Tastes and Borderless Party in the EPIC district! For more information visit www.go-bordeless.eu.
The R.o.R Festival is back – the contemporary intermedia art festival that will light up Nova Gorica and Gorizia from 2 to 5 October. Also continuing is the FICE film meeting (from 30 September to 3 October), which for the first time will feature short films shot in Europe Square as part of a Friuli Venezia Giulia Region call for projects. On 3 October, Gorizia and Nova Gorica will host the Alpe Adria Puppet Festival, which will also bring to the EPICenter the remarkable project Transport by director Tine Grabnar, produced in collaboration with six renowned international theatre institutions (including the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, Białystok Teatr Lalek, and Divadlo Alfa Plzeň).
And that’s far from all October has to offer – the month also highlights film, dance, visual and photographic arts, as well as historical heritage. The Tribute to a Vision Film Festival (from 7 to 12 October) will welcome visionaries, critical thinkers and creators from the cross-border (and wider) film scene, while the Visavì Gorizia Dance Festival (from 9 to 19 October) promises a similar experience in the world of dance. On 11 October, Villa Manin will open an exhibition showcasing works by great masters of painting: Gauguin, Monet, Degas, Pissarro, Van Gogh and more. In Gorizia, from 25 October, a major photography exhibition will feature Steve McCurry, Alex Majoli, and Meta Krese. In Idrija, the biennial dedicated to the preservation of mining culture, Betrib, will once again take place from 17 to 19 October.
