Transport Project

Transport brings together six European theatres in six performances on the meaning and impacts of transport. October 3–8 in Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

Transport is a three-year European co-production project directed by Tin Grabnar and funded by the European Commission under the Creative Europe Programme. It brings together the CTA from Gorizia with six renowned international theatre institutions:

• Klaipėdos Lėlių Teatras (Lithuania)

• Białostocki Teatr Lalek (Poland)

• Eesti Noorsooteater (Estonia)

• Divadlo Alfa Plzeň (Czech Republic)

• Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana (Slovenia)

• Lutkovno gledališče Maribor (Slovenia)

Each institution created its own independent production, forming six chamber performances that examine the role of transport as a pillar of globalization and its social, environmental, and ethical implications. Despite exploring different perspectives and media, the performances are thematically interwoven, creating a unique dramaturgical whole.

The project also emphasizes sustainability, not only in content but throughout all phases of production. By working on small mobile platforms, the partners encourage a new approach to touring and theatre-making.

The performances of the Transport project will take place at two venues: EPICenter (Kolodvorska pot 10, 5000 Nova Gorica) and Sala Dom Franc Močnik (Via S. Giovanni 12, 34170 Gorizia, Italy).
