4° Sabotin Trail Evening – GO4Trail

The fascinating cross-border evening race returns to challenge runners along the trails of Mount Sabotino, uniting Italy and Slovenia in a captivating nighttime atmosphere. The 13.5 km route with an elevation gain of +820 m will offer breathtaking views of nature, history, and panoramic vistas of the Soča Valley.

The Sabotin Trail Evening , now in its fourth year, is an attractive evening running competition organised by the Nova Gorica Public Sports Institution in collaboration with the Sabotin Cultural Association.

The race will be held on Saturday 17 October 2026 with the official start set for 6:00 pm . The athletes will compete on a 13.5 km cross-border course with a positive altitude difference of +820 metres , starting from Conigo (Podsabotin), climbing along the ridge to the summit of Monte Sabotino (609 m above sea level) and crossing the finish line at Case Noris in San Mauro (Šmaver).

Registration and bib collection will take place on the day of the event from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM in San Mauro (Loc. Case Noris 4), where athletes' personal luggage will also be transported to the finish area.

The time limit to complete the race is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and mandatory equipment includes a headlamp, trail shoes, a windbreaker, and a cell phone.

The event will conclude with the pasta party and the awards ceremony approximately 30 minutes after the last competitor arrives.
