20.00h Tumbarinos di Gavoi (IT)

Pier Gavino Sedda: cane pipe – Massimo Pira: accordion – Aldo Buttu: percussion – Antonio Marchi: triangle – Tito Sedda: percussion – Alessandro Mulas: percussion

The Sardinian sextet is a truly unique and authentic ethno band that, in a naturalistic style, recreates the vibrant folk celebrations of their homeland. Their music weaves together ecstatic atmospheres, imagination, archetypal patterns, and rural pathos. The Tumbarinos are masked carnival figures — the central characters of the local festivities — who play ancient, handcrafted instruments made from goat and sheep hides. They lead processions through the town center, filling the streets with noise and rhythm, and joyfully celebrate the awakening of spring.

21.00h Roberto Fonseca Quartet (CU)

Roberto Fonseca: piano, keys, voice – Felipe Cabrera: double bass – Andres Coayo: percussion – Ruly Herrera: drums

Roberto Fonseca is a pianist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from an artistic Cuban family. At the age of 15, he performed at the Havana Jazz Festival and later directed it. After studying composition, he released the album Tiene que ver and joined the legendary Buena Vista Social Club. He has worked with Ibrahim Ferrer, Omar Portuondo, Fatoumata Diawara and many others. His music combines Cuban tradition and contemporary genres. His current project, La Gran Diversión, is dedicated to the golden age of Cuban music.

19.00h World Delicacies Market

World Delicacies Market is a faithful companion of the cross-border Music of the World Festival in Nova Gorica (SI) and Gorizia (IT). The amphitheatre of Kromberk Castle will again provide the backdrop for the market with a wide range of locally and organically grown foods and drinks from both sides of the border. The market is a place to learn about and buy products from local producers, while also offering a pleasant setting for enjoyable pre- and post-concert socialising for people of all ages.

Free entry.

Glasbe sveta | Musiche dal Mondo (Musics from the World) is a festival that has redefined the border area between Gorizia (IT) and Nova Gorica (SI), transforming it into a lively region of cultural exchange. Every summer, artists from around the world weave jazz, folk and global traditions into an open dialogue between global cultures. Created to overcome the divisions in our heads, the festival comes to life in places of great historical value, an expression of the richness of the border area, where music generates authentic connections and offers new perspectives.
