TRIO MARIS
Tsarina Marinkova KRAJNČAN – piano Matjaž BOGATAJ – violin Maruša Turjak BOGATAJ – cello
Trio Maris comprises the Bogataj brothers and the pianist Tsarina Marinkova KRAJNČAN. Initially performing as a duo – and winning prizes at major competitions – they soon developed a desire to collaborate as a trio. They immediately realised that they perceived music as water: never still, always in motion, sometimes purifying, sometimes soothing. From this idea came the trio’s name: Trio Maris, the genitive form of the Latin word ‘mare’ (sea), but also a name that encompasses the names of all three musicians.Accessibility
