Paolo Angeli: prepared Sardinian guitar, voice
Paolo Angeli's shows are a musical journey where improvisation and composition are intertwined. The “voice” of his unique expression is the 25-stringed Sardinian guitar, which Angeli invented himself. With it, he creates unique soundscapes - from the industrially saturated to the completely organic. In recent years, with his albums Jar'a, Rade, Níjar and LEMA, Angeli has internationally established a Mediterranean avant-garde where tradition and modernity meet in an original musical language.
21.30h Vasko Atanasovski - TRANSBALKANIKA (SI, HR, RS)
Vasko Atanasovski: composition, saxophone, flute – Vasil Hadžimanov: piano, keyboards – Zoran Majstorović: guitar, oud (Arab lute) – Jošt Drašler: double bass – Žiga Kožar: drums
TRANSBALKANIKA is the project of virtuoso Vasko Atanasovski, which brings together some of the best musicians from the Balkan region. The ensemble reimagines the Balkan musical heritage with contemporary arrangements and original compositions that represent a blend of tradition and innovation. Their rhythms and melodies evoke the spirit of cross-borderness, and their explosive energy, musical boldness and spiritual depth result in music that stuns, moves and locks in any listener.
19.00h World Delicacies Market
World Delicacies Market is a faithful companion of the cross-border Music of the World Festival in Nova Gorica (SI) and Gorizia (IT). The amphitheatre of Kromberk Castle will again provide the backdrop for the market with a wide range of locally and organically grown foods and drinks from both sides of the border. The market is a place to learn about and buy products from local producers, while also offering a pleasant setting for enjoyable pre- and post-concert socialising for people of all ages.
Free entry.
Glasbe sveta | Musiche dal Mondo (Musics from the World) is a festival that has redefined the border area between Gorizia (IT) and Nova Gorica (SI), transforming it into a lively region of cultural exchange. Every summer, artists from around the world weave jazz, folk and global traditions into an open dialogue between global cultures. Created to overcome the divisions in our heads, the festival comes to life in places of great historical value, an expression of the richness of the border area, where music generates authentic connections and offers new perspectives.
