SNG Nova Gorica: Summer Season at the New Open-Air Amphitheater

From June 15 to September 1, 2026, the new open-air Amphitheater of the Slovenian National Theatre (SNG) Nova Gorica will host a diverse summer cultural program with a seating capacity of approximately 500.

Built on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture, this modern venue is set to become a focal point for cross-border artistic gatherings.

The multidisciplinary lineup features an extensive range of events, spanning from live music and theatrical plays to contemporary dance performances and arthouse film screenings.

Seasonal highlights include the premiere of the contemporary chamber opera Aida osveščena / Aïda déchaînée, international dance residencies, and anniversary concerts by acclaimed regional bands.

Developed in collaboration with international co-producers, the program aims to solidify the venue's role as a prominent platform for Euro-regional cultural exchange.

In the event of inclement weather, scheduled performances will be relocated to the main indoor stage of SNG Nova Gorica to ensure seamless continuity.
