FESTIVAL KRAŠKA GMAJNA – Create Your Own Jewelry from Local Karst Limestone
Jewelry-making workshops with Karst stone.
Welcome to the Oštarini family home, a 17th-century house that once hosted a village inn, with traditional village dances taking place in its garden. This time, the homestead invites you to its courtyard, where you’ll discover the simplicity and charm of Karst stone. After a brief presentation of the stone (its geological origin, integration into the environment, use and processing, and recognition of typical architectural elements on the building), a workshop will follow where you can create jewelry from local Karst limestone. All items made during the workshop can be taken home.
The event will be held in Slovene, English, and Italian. The number of places is limited. Free entry with mandatory registration.
