June 26th, 2025 at 5 PM, Pavilion at Dobrovo Castle Workshop with projections: Paint, Project, Bring to Life! Mentors: Sara Muharemi and Davor Marjanović, members of the LuMenArtist collective At Thursday’s workshop titled Paint, Project, Bring to Life!, participants will explore the technique of painting on small-format glass and projecting with slide projectors. *The workshop is free of charge and limited to 10 participants. Main Event with Projection: June 29th, 2025, from 9 PM to 1 AM, Dobrovo Castle Courtyard The closing event will be a mini festival of light projections, featuring painted works created by the workshop participants alongside those by the LuMenArtist collective, who will also be leading the workshop. The LuMenArtist collective's projection templates will be developed during a one-month residency and will draw inspiration from locations across the wider Goriška region. The event is part of the R.o.R Residency Program, supported by the Public Institute GO!2025, and is an official program of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica–Gorizia. R.o.R – Rural Organized Residency This program brings contemporary and intermedia artists to rural environments, encouraging collaboration and interaction with local communities. R.o.R has many years of experience organizing residencies and the R.o.R Festival. It has hosted numerous internationally recognized artists, offering the public a unique experience. LuMenArtist Active since 2011, LuMenArtist has amazed audiences with their visual decorations at festivals such as Lost Theory Festival, Ozora Festival, S.U.N. Festival, Electron Festival, Garden Festival, Terraneo Festival, EMAC Festival, Dimensions Festival, and Outlook Festival. With a light arsenal boasting over 120 projectors, they can project onto more than 4000 m² of various surfaces. They are guided by the motto: "Art is our life, and life is our art."
