Workshop with Projections: Paint, Project, Bring to Life!
Mentors: Members of the LuMenArtist collective – Sara Muharemi and Davor Marjanović

At the Thursday workshop titled Paint, Project, Bring to Life, participants will explore the technique of painting on small-format glass surfaces and projecting them using slide projectors.

The workshop is free of charge and limited to 10 participants.

Main Event with Projections: June 29, 2025 from 8:30 PM to 1:00 AM, Dobrovo Castle Courtyard

The final event will be a mini festival of light projections, featuring artworks created by workshop participants alongside the works of the LuMenArtist collective, who will also lead the workshop.

LuMenArtist's projection templates will be developed during a one-month artist residency and will draw inspiration from the broader Goriška region.

This event is part of the R.o.R Residency Program, supported by the public institute GO!2025, and is part of the official program of the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica–Gorizia.

R.o.R – Rural Organized Residency

This program brings contemporary and intermedia artists to rural environments and encourages collaboration and interaction with local communities.
R.o.R has many years of experience organizing residencies and the R.o.R Festival and has hosted numerous internationally recognized artists who have shared unique artistic experiences with the broader public. Exciting contemporary art is by no means limited to galleries or urban cultural centers.

LuMenArtist

Active since 2011, LuMenArtist has captivated audiences at festivals such as Lost Theory Festival, Ozora Festival, S.U.N. Festival, Electron Festival, Garden Festival, Terraneo Festival, EMAC Festival, Dimensions, and Outlook. With a visual arsenal of over 120 projectors, their light projections can cover up to 4,000 m² of various surfaces.
They are guided by the motto: "Art is our life and life is our art."
