Introductory Sewing Workshop – Hand & Machine Sewing For beginners Instructor: Agata Coszach Duration: 15 hours, divided into 6 sessions of 2.5 hours each When: Tuesdays, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM – from November 4 to December 9, 2025 Where: Slovene Cultural Center in San Pietro al Natisone [SMO] (via Alpe Adria, 67) Cost: 30 € Notes: No prior sewing or cutting skills are required. Owning a sewing machine is recommended but not mandatory. TOPICS: Participants will learn through hands-on projects and the creation of small handmade items. Topics include: Sewing tools Materials: fabrics, stabilizers, haberdashery Machines: sewing machine, iron, serger Basic hand stitches: basting, backstitch, overcasting, hemming, sewing on buttons Basic machine stitches: straight and zigzag Introduction to patternmaking: from paper pattern to finished item (layout, marking, cutting, assembling) Introduction to the serger (live demo) REQUIRED MATERIALS: Sewing needles (various sizes) Thimble Stainless steel pins Fabric scissors Paper scissors Measuring tape Tailor’s chalk Basting thread White sewing thread Assorted buttons Pencil Eraser Ruler.   For more information and registration: (+39) (0)432 727490
