Guided tour of Vernasso Quarry: a journey through history and geology in the heart of the scenic Natisone Valleys.

A trip marked by the geological discovery of underwater landslides in the Natisone Valleys, the votive church and the dairy museum in Vernasso/Barnas. This event will take palce in Italian Change language in to Italian!

Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 8:30 AM, join geologist Andrea Mocchiutti for an exclusive visit to Vernasso Quarry, a world-renowned geosite rich in fossils and ancient rock formations. Discover its geological secrets, learn about historic quarrying techniques, and visit the Chapel of Saint Bartholomew on the way back.
