BRUNO GUYON between the Italian and Slavic worlds from Benečija to the L'Orientale University of Naples Italian and Slovenian experts are meeting again to delve into the figure of Bruno Guyon, a little-known linguist and researcher born in Vernasso, who brought to light the reality of Benečija and the wider Slavic world, becoming in 1914 the first university professor of Slovenian in Italy. The meeting, which follows the study of the same name held on Nov. 19, 2024 at the University “L'Orientale” in Naples, will be held in Slovenian and Italian with simultaneous translation, offering talks ranging from toponymic studies to reflections on Guyon's historical and linguistic context.
