The Municipality of Nova Gorica is becoming more and more propulsive, open and innovative. The defining trait which convinced the jury awarding the Golden Stone was strong regional and cross-border cooperation. The GO! 2025 Ccandidacy for the European Capital of Culture, which was nominated by the international jury in December 2020 to become Slovene ECOC in 2025 surely helped to the latter. The ECOC nomination was however not the only award that the Municipality of Nova Gorica gained in the past year. Several other projects involving the city have also received various prestigious awards.
