International Architectural Ideas and Project Competition for the Urban Development of the Trg Evrope · Piazza Transalpina Square is finished and the mayors of the two Goricas revealed the names of the winners in the square that was the subject of the competition. Three projects were awarded, and additional three received an honorable mention. Out of the 56 received projects, 54 went into the evaluation phase. Architects from four continents responded to the competition with participants from eighteen countries. We are pleased to say that seven groups of mixed nationalities with experts from up to four different countries were among those registered. Most projects came from Italy (19), Slovenia (5) and France (5), but there were projects also from Argentina, Uganda, the Russian Federation and Japan.
