Gabrijel Fiser, a surgeon from the hospital Splošna Bolnišnica Franca Derganca in Nova Gorica, had touched hearts on both sides of the border during this period of untouchability. He printed a billboard with the drawings of 7 children from Nova Gorica and 7 from Gorizia and hung it on three border crossings between Slovenia and Italy.
