Contract to secure ECOC funding signed

The funding for the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica - Gorizia is now secured.   On 31 August 2022, the Minister of Culture, Dr Asta Vrečko, and the Mayor, Dr Klemen Miklavič, signed a contract at the Municipality of Nova Gorica, whereby the State will provide its share of the funding for the European Capital of Culture 2025 project.   We are proud to have the support of all those who will contribute funds to make this project a reality. The State will contribute €10 million by 2026, the Municipality of Nova Gorica €5 million, the other participating municipalities in the region €1.5 million, the European Union €1.5 million, and we expect €2 million from private sources and market revenues, for a total of €20 million.
