In 2025, the Bank of Slovenia will issue a commemorative coin to celebrate the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica-Gorizia.
In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, in 2025 the Bank of Slovenia will issue two commemorative coins. One will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Slovenian cartoonist and director Miki Mustro, while the other will commemorate the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica-Gorizia, as a collector's item.
The official anonymous public competition for the design of the two artistic solutions begins. The proposals will be examined by the Commission for the Issuance of Commemorative Coins, which will select the most suitable ones.
