Karst in colour and verse

The Lojze Spacal Gallery, which has undergone a complete energy renovation as part of the extensive renovation of the entire castle complex, will host the main exhibition 'Karst in Colour and Verse'.

On Friday 19 April 2024, starting at 7 p.m., a cultural event will be held at Štanjel Castle, bringing together the colours, words and artistic spirit of the Trieste area. The Lojze Spacal Gallery, which has undergone a complete energy renovation as part of the extensive renovation of the entire castle complex, will host the main exhibition 'Karst in Colour and Verse'.

The exhibition 'Karst in Colour and Verse' will bring together the exceptional artistic creativity and harmony of the three giants of the Trieste art scene - Lojze Spacal, Klavdij Palčič and Franko Vecchiet - with the verses of the three great poets from Trieste: Miroslav Košuta, Marko Kravos and Renato Quaglio. This unique synergy of colours, lines and words will offer visitors an insight into the rich cultural heritage that preserves Slovenian identity abroad. With its six exceptional views and messages, the exhibition will reveal the power of artistic dialogue between painting and poetry.

The exhibition will be on display at the Lojze Spacal Gallery until Sunday, 5 January 2025.
