GO! 2025 Borderless: street photographic installation

In 2025, ITS Arcademy will transcend its own boundaries with an extraordinary open-air photographic installation that will transform the heart of Trieste into an artistic journey, engaging citizens and visitors from around the world on a universal theme.

Realized with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, this urban exhibition celebrates the GO! 2025 Borderless initiative – Nova Gorica and Gorizia as European Capital of Culture – and invites the public to reflect on borders, both visible and invisible, as connections rather than barriers.

The installation
Curated by photographer Massimo Gardone, the installation features 10 large-scale prints showcasing the talent of young designers awarded the GO! 2025 Borderless Award, a special project promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and presented during the 2024 ITS Contest. The works explore the absence and crossing of borders through the interpretation of garments and their narratives. Each creation challenges geographical, cultural, and personal boundaries, offering thought-provoking insights into identity and belonging. Through Gardone’s lens, these pieces tell stories of transformation, where material and personal limits become opportunities for connection and growth.
