Fashionlands: Clothes Beyond Borders

An exhibition born of the collaboration between fashion historian Olivier Saillard and philosopher Emanuele Coccia, featuring works by 23 emerging designers alongside photographs that explore the everyday wardrobe.

From 27 March 2025, ITS Arcademy presents Fashionlands: Clothes Beyond Borders, the second joint project by fashion historian Olivier Saillard and philosopher Emanuele Coccia. It follows The Many Lives of a Dress, currently on view at Italy’s first contemporary fashion museum. The exhibition brings together 23 works by emerging designers from the ITS Arcademy collection alongside images that narrate the story of the everyday wardrobe.

Gabriele Rosati’s photographs reveal the power of the ordinary – white shirts, jeans, and other timeless essentials – constructing an “archaeology of the ordinary” that contrasts with the show’s more visionary creations.

Featured designers: Mert Serbest (Turkey), Mata Durikovic (Slovakia), Tatjana Haupt (Germany), Yudai & Anna Tanaka (Japan), Eva Heugenhauser (Austria), Asato Kitamura (Japan), Adam Elyassè (UK), Mohammed El Marnissi (Belgium), Olivia Rubens (Canada), Eda Sriprom (Thailand), Flora Miranda (Austria), Rafael Kouto (Switzerland), Sara Michal Workeneh (Israel), Jimin Kim (South Korea), Ek Thongprasert (Thailand), Triinu Pungits (Estonia), Tomohiro Shibuki (Japan), Justin Smith (UK), Ruby Mellish (UK), Clara Chu (China), Bingqing Yi (China), Anna Gammelgaard (Denmark), Corrina Goutos (USA).
