How Can Intercultural Mediation Improve Health and Healthcare?

On 20 November 2025, at 18:00, a discussion will take place at the Knjigarna kavarna Maks about the challenges faced by those who enter the Slovenian healthcare system without speaking Slovene.

Guests will address the challenges faced by people entering the Slovenian healthcare system without speaking the language. The conversation—featuring perspectives from both care providers and patients—will explore intercultural mediation as a possible solution.

Participants:

  • Uršula Lipovec Čebron, anthropologist (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana),
  • Martina Bofulin, sinologist (ZRC SAZU).

The discussion, led by Martina Bofulin, will be held in Slovenian.
