Art Against the Rifle is an intermedia music-stage project that delves into the indelible marks left by the First World War in the region and beyond, presented through three distinct performances at historically significant locations. These evocative sites, steeped in memory, become stages where the past and present converge in a profound artistic dialogue.
The project offers a contemporary artistic reflection on the meaninglessness of wars and on life and love, and through various creative interpretations opens up new perspectives on history and the human experience associated with war.

Participating organizations and projects: This is the third event of the Art Against the Rifle project, organized by the Mink Association Tolmin within the framework of GO! 2025, this time in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum in Ljubljana, Kinoatelje, the Walk of Peace Foundation, EGTC GO, ZRC SAZU, PromoTurismo FVG, the Municipality of Miren - Kostanjevica, and the èStoria Association, as part of the "Beyond Walk of Peace: from Crossborder Historical Research and Cultural Heritage to European Trail and Stories" (BeWoP) project, co-financed by the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Programme, and alongside the now traditional cross-border event Sounds of Peace / I suoni della pace / The sounds of peace, carried out through the partnership of Associazione Progetto Musica, Promo Turismo FVG, Proloco Fogliano-Redipuglia, Kulturni dom Nova Gorica, Javni zavod Miren Kras, and the Walk of Peace Foundation.
