Teran in All Its Shades

A wine and culinary evening embraced by castle walls, where the story of Karst winemakers' masterpieces comes to life.

A wine and culinary story that brings together winemakers from the Consortium of Teran Winegrowers, hand-cut Karst prosciutto, selected cheeses, and gourmet creations by Grad Štanjel Restaurant & Lounge Bar.

As part of the 53rd Festival of Teran and Prosciutto, 22 winemakers from the Consortium of Karst Teran Winegrowers will gather in the castle courtyard of picturesque Štanjel on Wednesday, August 6th, starting at 7 PM, offering guests a unique opportunity to taste Teran in all its expressions – from fresh interpretations to mature, aged masterpieces.

Also inviting you are the premium Karst prosciutto from Oštir Farm (Voglje), goat cheeses from Žerjal Farm (Tomaj), and exquisite cuisine from Grad Štanjel Restaurant & Lounge Bar, carefully crafted to harmonize with the selected wines.

Guided tour of the Museum of the Slovenian Language and Book

At 6 PM, a guided tour with an animator of the new Museum of the Slovenian Language and Book will be organized as part of the event.

Price for the tour (event special): €5 per person

Meeting point: Štanjel Castle Visitor Center

The tour will be held in Slovene and carried out if enough participants register.
