Without Permit Thirty years at the Slovenian-Italian border Evening panel discussion

Our discussion of the book will bring together personal and historical perspectives on life at the border.

Diana Bošnjak Monai, originally from Sarajevo, now lives and works in Trieste. Her book, currently being translated into Slovenian, offers a unique insight into the recent past of the area along the present-day Slovenian–Italian border.

Historian Marta Verginella will place the author’s reflections within a broader historical context, emphasizing the multiculturalism and migratory movements that have shaped the region over time.

The discussion will be moderated by Urška Strle.
