The Balkan Migrant Route Evening panel discussion and video exhibition

The Balkan migrant route, running from Turkey to Italy, is one of the most important land migration corridors in Europe.

Jure Gombač and Lucija Klun, researchers in the field of migration studies, together with Francesca De Piccoli, representative of a Gorizia-based NGO, will discuss life along the Balkan migrant route and the role of Nova Gorica and Gorizia in this context.

The talk will be accompanied by a video exhibition created as part of the Route Biographies project.

The discussion will be moderated by Nataša Rogelja Caf.

Participants:

  • Jure Gombač – migration researcher (ZRC SAZU)

  • Lucija Klun – migration researcher (University of Bologna)

  • Francesca De Piccoli – representative of the Insieme con voi collective

  • Nataša Rogelja Caf – anthropologist (ZRC SAZU, moderator)

The discussion will be held in Slovenian and Italian, with simultaneous interpretation.
The main language of the discussion will be Slovenian.
