Episkop – On the Paths of Europe

On the Paths of Europe Evening panel discussion with video clips

In the summer of 2024, twenty-eight performances took place in the border area between the Adriatic and the Alps as part of Project E, which explored ideas of a different Europe, highlighting the heritage of Mediterranean Europe and contemporary migration issues.

The project was created by three artists whose experiences, creative work, and everyday lives are closely connected to the crossing of borders.

The performance will be discussed by:

  • Alessandro Conte, Italian multimedia performer who lives and studies in Italy

  • Muhammad 'Abd al-Mun'im, writer and publisher from Syria living in Slovenia

  • Paola Colombo, president of the cultural association vicino/lontano, which produced the performance

The conversation will be moderated by Nataša Rogelja Caf and will include video excerpts from the performance.

Participants:

  • Alessandro Conte – socio-cultural artisan, playwright, and actor

  • Muhammad 'Abd al-Mun'im – editor, writer, and poet

  • Paola Colombovicino/lontano

  • Nataša Rogelja Caf – anthropologist, ZRC SAZU (moderator)

The discussion will be held in English.
