Boraviglie - The Wonders of a Land of Wind

Boraviglie - The Wonders of a Land of Wind

Boraviglie-Čudoburje is the inaugural event of the cultural space connected to the Borarium of the Bora Museum in Opicina.

Through the theme of the "wonders of the Bora," we explore many fascinating aspects related to this wind—and the land it blows through—to highlight how it unites populations on both sides of the border.

The neologism “Boraviglie” harks back to the magic of wonder around us, which in Slovenian becomes “Čudoburje – čudeži burjaste dežele”, in the authorial translation by the poet Miroslav Košuta.

A small exhibition will be dedicated to him in September, a tribute to the work of a poet of the land and nature, an influential exponent of Slovenian culture.

In parallel with the exhibition, a borderless collaboration with the Museum of Štanjel-San Daniele del Carso is planned.

To complement everything, there are scheduled meetings ranging from meteorology to literature, to food and wine, always taking inspiration from the wind that unites us.

This is our way of celebrating GO!2025 Nova Gorica/Gorizia, the first European Capital of Cross-Border Culture.

Here are the first steps of the project, which received funding from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region's GO!2025 Call.
