“Without Borders” Concert

The concert “Without Borders” brings to the stage Jure Ivanušič with the group Nordunk and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Patrik Greblo: a musical journey through poetry, satire, and reflections on the contemporary human condition.

CONCERT SEASON TICKET 2025/26 – 45. concert season/4th concert     JURE IVANUŠIČ & NORDUNK & RTV SLOVENIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Patrik Greblo, conductor     A concert of chansons titled Brezmejna (Without Borders) is based on original short stories by Slovenian actor, director, screenwriter, musician, and chansonnier Jure Ivanušič. The songs are orchestrated by Leon Firšt and performed with the band Nordunk, Ivanušič’s long-time collaborators since 1997 (Andrej and Gregor Antauer, Bojan Logar, Tomaž Marčič, Martin Rošer and Simon Šimat). This kaleidoscope of themes explores contemporary issues: invisible daily enslavements, fake relationships, false realities, conformity, social apathy, poverty, and hollow rebellion. With irony and satire, the performance borders on sarcastic theatre—a carousel of emotional states, from the fear of living to the fear of a wasted life and the self-drowning in an ocean of prosaicness.
