On the Western Edge – Exhibition

The exhibition On the Western Edge – The Century of Karlo Špacapan reveals the destinies of the people of Primorska in the 20th century, marked by shifting regimes, occupations, and displacements.

On the Western Edge – The Century of Karlo Špacapan An exhibition on the 20th century in the Slovenian Littoral The exhibition follows the collective experience of the inhabitants of the Slovenian Littoral during the turbulent short 20th century. This multi-ethnic region underwent numerous shifts of state borders, administrations, military occupations, and migrations. The central thread of the exhibition is the destiny of Slovenes in the Littoral under rapid changes of power, raising the questions: "What defines the uniqueness of this space? What were the mental maps of our grandmothers and grandfathers? And what has shaped the relationship of the people of the Littoral to the events of the 20th century?"
