Diego Valentinuzzi’s artistic career began immediately after completing his three-year program at the State Institute for Crafts. In 1975, he moved to Rome, where he remained until 1976, dividing his time between the capital and his hometown. During this period, he came into contact with various artists, including exhibitors on Via Margutta such as Novella Parigini.
Later, upon returning to Monfalcone, he collaborated extensively with art and design studios on the creation of trompe-l’œil works and various decorations for American bars, nightclubs, and cruise ships.
His meetings with various gallery owners were crucial for the dissemination of his works through the first-ever televised auctions of the time, which allowed him to promote his work throughout northern Italy.
Furthermore, for many years he served as a liaison for art exhibitions featuring artists from the Julian region in Venice at the Scoletta di San Zaccaria and the Palazzo delle Prigioni Vecchie.
He also contributed for a long time alongside Professor Vittorio Sutto to the television program “Il segno e il colore,” broadcast on Telefriuli. Furthermore, since 2019, he has been collaborating with the local magazine La lanterna on the culture page “In viaggio con l’arte.”
