‘Where the vine blooms, today we gather the fruits. They are our wines: fragrant, genuine, generous, elegant.’ And they speak the language of Friuli. 'Vie d’Alt’ is in fact the voice of the earth, and is the name of our first vineyard, the ‘Via Alta’ (Upper Way), purchased by the founder Antonio Venica way back in 1915.

The strength of this winery is the family. The three sisters share the same passion: Nadia with Luca, Mara with Christian and Giulia—the fourth generation that looks to the future, though never forgetting the traditions handed down by their parents Bruno and Paola.

The new cellar is the beating heart of the company: 18 hectares of vineyards on the hills surrounding Prepotto, in the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali, the ideal quality winegrowing area thanks to its microclimate and the unique characteristics of the soil.

The family devotes itself with great love to all stages of production: they harvest the grapes by hand, they protect the fauna and flora by limiting the use of insecticides, they got rid of herbicides years ago, they prefer the balances and natural rhythms of nature, with a reasoned viticulture of low environmental impact. And above all they hate rushing—working the land requires patience!
They are also very attentive to environmental sustainability—in 2008 they installed solar and photovoltaic panels. In addition, pruning cuts are used as fuel for the wood chip boiler.
