Cinematographer and long-time GO! 2025 collaborator Gregor Božič has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Prešeren Fund Award, Slovenia’s highest national recognition for artistic achievement.
We are proud to announce that Gregor Božič, cinematographer and one of the key creative partners of GO! 2025, has been named a recipient of the 2026 Prešeren Fund Award — one of Slovenia’s most important honours for artistic excellence. The award committee revealed his name among this year’s distinguished laureates from the fields of film, literature, visual arts, music and theatre.
The recognition highlights Božič’s unique visual language, artistic sensitivity and innovative approach, which have made his work an essential contribution to contemporary Slovenian cinema. His oeuvre was praised for its aesthetic quality, originality and its ability to expand the boundaries of the medium — key criteria considered by the Prešeren Fund.
