On the occasion of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia, an exhibition has opened at Palazzo Morando in Milan inviting the public to discover the great masters of art of the #borderless cross-border area of Nova Gorica and Gorizia. A journey to be made: to get to know the culture linked to the border and make it valuable, also in art.

Paesaggi dell'arte in Friuli Venezia Giulia fra storia e contemporaneità (Landscapes of Art in Friuli Venezia Giulia between History and Contemporaneity) will be open from 15 May to 15 June, with an evocative exhibition itinerary set up in the spaces of the Palazzo, studded with works by leading artists of modern and contemporary art such as Zoran Mušič, Afro, Tullio Crali, Marcello Mascherini, Giuseppe Zigaina, Lojze Spacal, Armando Pizzinato, Luigi Spazzapan, Leonor Fini, Miela Reina, and Bogdan Grom. Alongside the Masters, the exhibition will also host a selection of works by contemporary artists gathered in the Together Project, the self-portrait of the philosopher Carlo Michelstaedter together with an evocative selection of his words.

Promoted by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia - Department of Culture and on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica Gorizia, the initiative is organised under the artistic direction of Massimiliano Finazzer Flory, curated by Lorenzo Michelli, with the organisational support of Fondazione Pordenonelegge.it.

The exhibition will be open until 15 June, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., with free admission.
