Udin&Jazz 2026: "Stay Human"

The Udin&Jazz festival launches its latest edition under the theme "Stay Human," an explicit invitation to rediscover the most authentic and empathetic dimension of the artistic experience. This year's lineup for the historic Friulian showcase spans from performances by international masters to the most innovative proposals on the contemporary scene.

The event serves as a platform for cultural reflection and community engagement, where jazz music acts as the primary medium to connect diverse stories, sensibilities, and cultures.

Through a diverse program hosted across the symbolic landmarks of Udine, the festival champions live interaction as a cornerstone of human expression in an increasingly digitized era.

Alongside headline concerts by global jazz icons, the schedule integrates experimental projects and fresh sonic landscapes designed to engage a diverse, multigenerational audience.

Udin&Jazz thus solidifies its role as a fundamental pillar of the region's cultural strategy, promoting inclusion, cross-border dialogue, and the global promotion of local artistic heritage.

Udin&Jazz's programs have historically featured top-tier names on the international scene. For this edition, tied to the "Stay Human" concept, the lineup features extraordinary artists:

Jan Garbarek Group (featuring Trilok Gurtu): The legendary Norwegian saxophonist, a key figure in European jazz and a mainstay of the prestigious ECM label, brings his lyrical and rarefied sounds to the stage, joined by Indian percussion master Trilok Gurtu.

Marc Ribot "The Ceramic Dog" : The brilliant and iconic American guitarist (historical collaborator of Tom Waits and John Zorn) performs with his explosive avant-garde trio, combining jazz, post-rock, punk attitude and pure improvisation.

Daniela Pes : Among the most innovative voices on the new Italian experimental scene, the Sardinian artist offers an avant-garde live performance in which vocals become instruments, moving between elegant electronics, ambient, and ancestral influences.

Micah P. Hinson : The Texan singer-songwriter enriches the festival with his visceral and intimate folk-rock, perfectly embodying the deep, vulnerable and exquisitely "human" soul that characterizes the theme of the festival.
