The Legacy of Life. Climate is a Choice, Let’s Save the Future

The Legacy of Life. Climate is a Choice, Let’s Save the Future

Running from 23 October to 2 November 2025 in Gorizia, “The Legacy of Life” brings together art and interfaith dialogue to inspire a sustainable future.

From 23 October to 2 November 2025, the exhibition “The Legacy of Life. Climate is a Choice: Let’s Save the Future” will be open at the Tullio Crali Hall, Via Diaz 6, Gorizia. The exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the value of life and on everyone’s responsibility in facing the climate crisis. The event forms part of the project “I Change, the World Changes”, promoted by the Be The Hope Foundation within the framework of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with the support of the Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai through 8x1000 funds.

The initiative serves as a preview of the interfaith dialogue festival “Terre di Pace”, supported by the Municipality of Gorizia and organised in collaboration with the city’s main religious communities — Christian-Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist and Methodist – united by the shared aim of promoting mutual respect and a culture of peace.

As Councillor Patrizia Artico noted, the goal is to encourage dialogue between cultures and faiths in the year of GO! 2025, when Gorizia and Nova Gorica together represent the first cross-border European Capital of Culture: “Dialogue is the only weapon capable of disarming conflict and war”. The exhibition, which has already attracted the interest of many local schools, is also a call to collective action for the protection of the planet. As Roberto Bonora of Soka Gakkai remarked: “By creating spaces of friendship and trust, we lay the foundations for a culture of peace within our communities”.

The “Terre di Pace” Festival will officially open on Tuesday 29 October with a talk by Paolo Mieli, entitled “The Role of Religions in the Wars of Yesterday and Today”, and will continue until 2 November with meetings, performances and moments of reflection. Full programme is available at isig.it/tdp.

Opening hours for the exhibition: Monday to Friday, 10.00-13.00 and 15.00-18.00. Free admission.
