Slavoj Žižek: Quantum history

As part of the European Capital of Culture 2025, on November 28, Novi Gorica will host philosopher Slavoj Žižek, who will present his new book Quantum History, which combines Hegel, Lacan, and quantum mechanics, exclusively for GO! 2025. The event will be free, with multilingual translation and book signing.

The European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia will host philosopher Slavoj Žižek. Žižek will present his book Quantum History, which will be released worldwide on November 13, 2025, exclusively for GO! 2025. The work combines Hegel's dialectic, Lacan's psychoanalysis, and quantum mechanics to rethink history, reality, and political possibilities.

 

Useful information:

  • Tickets are free of charge.
  • The event will be held in English with translation into Slovenian and Italian.
  • The conference will be followed by a book signing.
  • Tickets will be available on the website www.go-borderless.eu on 5 November 2025, starting at 12:00.

 

The event was created in collaboration with Isonzo Soča: Giornale di Frontiera / Časopis na meji and serves as the concluding act of the Festival of Complexity project.
