Conference on Indigenous Heritage—the Rebirth of the Kabrca
On 20 September 2025, an expert symposium with musical programme will take place at Vogrsko Manor.
The conference on indigenous heritage marks the culmination of a seven-year series of preparatory symposia on the Christianisation of Slovenia and the revival of ancient pagan traditions in the region. The event will focus on presenting the kabrca, a traditional spiritual instrument once used in ritual practices up until the last century. Instrument maker Alenka Gololičič will introduce the kabrca, which will also be played live.
