Borderless Party 2025
After the official ECoC title handover, the Borderless Party follows with an international line-up from Slovenia, Germany, Italy and Slovakia. Performing: Fritz Kalkbrenner, Nick Nicce, Fallgrapp and more.
5 December – Europe Square & EPIC District
The festive evening begins at 18:30 on Europe Square with the official handover of the European Capital of Culture title. Nova Gorica, Gorizia and Chemnitz will pass the honour to Trenčín (Slovakia) and Oulu (Finland), the ECoC cities for 2026.
Immediately after the ceremony, at 19:40, the Borderless Party kicks off – the fourth edition of a celebration that unites music, art and communities from both sides of the border in a spirit of friendship, cooperation and new beginnings.
This year’s international line-up features: German DJ Fritz Kalkbrenner, Slovenia's Nick Nicce, Italy’s Riki G and Unum Sound, and special guest Fallgrapp from Slovakia, who will symbolically launch the musical path of the upcoming ECoC cities Trenčín and Oulu.
The Borderless Party remains the beating heart of cross-border togetherness – a place where European culture continues long after the official handover.
