Borderless Body is an innovative artistic project that, over the past three years, has brought new energy to Nova Gorica and the wider region through the sustained presence of an international dance ensemble.
On 3, 5, and 6 July 2025, a performance by MN Dance Company will take place at the Cerje Monument of Peace.
Borderless Body is an innovative artistic project that, over the past three years, has brought new energy to Nova Gorica and the wider region through the sustained presence of an international dance ensemble. The group’s work culminates in a performance that explores the relationship between the human body, its spatial, physical and mental borders, and the realms of artificial intelligence and technology.
Under the artistic direction of Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, the ensemble has delved into this urgent topic, creating performances, short choreographies and dance films (To the Moon and Back, Distance, Borderless Diptych, F-Lights, Prometheus, A-Line, Drop).
The show offers an immersive experience where movement, sound and image converge—an aesthetic fusion of contemporary dance, reality and the imaginary. The original score is by Duo Silence – Primož Hladnik and Boris Benko – whose rich musical output ranges from classical to electronic, including collaborations with Laibach and acclaimed music for theatre and film.
Borderless Body is not just a show – it is a reflection on the borders that shape human existence and its future. It opens contemporary dance to the compelling and unsettling narrative of rapid technological change and the unknown of artificial intelligence.
