Series of Events – AUTUMN AT THE VIATORI GARDEN

Following the success of the experiential activity series "Five Senses and Imagination," a new program of events returns to the Viatori Garden for the month of October: "Autumn at the Viatori Garden." This program is part of the Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia Foundation's project "Giardino Viatori: an oasis of inclusion and sustainability." The Foundation's project “𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐕𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢: 𝐮𝐧'𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚̀”, is financed under the PR FESR 2021-2027 Call for Proposals Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia - Type of intervention D6.1.1 "Incentives for the development of projects aimed at enhancing the role that museums, artistic-cultural collections and other cultural products can play as actors in local development" - Procedure no. 36.

The overall goal of the project is to fully restore the Viatori Garden, particularly its accessibility for people with limited mobility and its role as an inclusive and inclusive social gathering place.

The aim is to enhance the garden not only as a place to immerse oneself in nature but also as a place of growth, discovery, and inclusion. This goal will be achieved through the involvement of local associations, institutions, and schools representing diverse social groups: people with mobility disabilities, individuals experiencing marginalization and social vulnerability, children with autism, seniors, and high school students. 

The project includes the removal of architectural barriers and a digital tour, as well as activities with partner organizations.

The experiential workshops are intended not only to provide an opportunity to experience a different way of enjoying the Garden, but also to initiate and/or strengthen relationships with local institutions, schools, and associations active in the area, experts from various fields, and stakeholders.

This is a first concrete step in a process of continued growth and development for this important site, which will increasingly see the Viatori Garden as a place of welcome and inclusion, where nature, social interaction, and culture find a significant space for expression.

This month's events:

- "Multisensory experience of well-being and connection with nature" - Saturday 25 October at 10.00 am and 2.30 pm;

- "The Garden prepares for winter" - Sunday 26 October from 2.30 pm;

- "Nature's Secret Code: Fibonacci Between Science and Beauty" in collaboration with the Isontina Under 18 Science Association - Tuesday, October 28, from 3:00 p.m.

- "Naturalistic Cultural Trekking" in collaboration with the UISP Territorial Committee of Gorizia - Thursday, October 30th from 2:30 pm;

- "Inclusiveness Concert between Nature and Music" in collaboration with the Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Gorizia - Sunday, November 2nd, starting at 11:00 a.m.
