A guided tour of the fresco by Slavko Pengov in the great hall of the present-day City Hall of Nova Gorica.

On Wednesday, 30 July, from 14:00 to 16:00, there will be a guided tour of the fresco by Slavko Pengov at the Nova Gorica City Hall.

A guided tour of the fresco by Slavko Pengov (at 14:00 in Slovene, and at 15:00 in English) will be led by Katarina Mohar, a co-author of the book Občinska palača v Novi Gorici (City Hall of Nova Gorica) from the collection Pocket Artworks. The iconographically rich painting from 1952 is one of the few examples of large-scale historical painting in Slovenian art. It depicts the history of the Primorska Region, and through it also speaks of the time and circumstances in which it was created. Meeting in front of the entrance to the City Hall, at 14:00 for the Slovenian-language guided tour and at 15:00 for the English-language guided tour.
