Koncert Etno Histeria World Orchestra

This unique international music project brings together 84 musicians from around the world. In one week of intense collaboration, they will create a completely new program, blending folk music and original compositions. The orchestra also promotes social engagement and solidarity through performances in local communities.

The Etno Histeria World Orchestra 2025 will perform at Mostovna on 3 August at 20:30.

The Zveza slovenskih kulturnih društev ETS, in collaboration with the Mostovna Cultural Center, organizes a unique musical event: the concert of the Etno Histeria World Orchestra (EHWO), which will take place on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 20:30 at Mostovna (Cesta IX. korpusa 99A, Solkan). In anticipation of the 2025 edition of the Slofest festival, which will be held in Trieste from September 18 to 20, the concert not only offers a significant musical moment but also serves as a symbolic prologue to the festival.

The Etno Histeria World Orchestra is a unique international project, active since 2003, that forms every summer as a musical community, carrying a strong artistic and social message. This year, 84 musicians will be involved, and through a week of intense collaboration, they will create an entirely new concert program, made without sheet music, through listening, verbal transmission, shared experiences, and authentic creative dialogue. The music emerges from the original compositions of the participants and folk traditions from all over the world, reworked into complex, vibrant, and nuanced arrangements. The Etno Histeria World Orchestra also serves as a platform for social engagement: through concerts and initiatives in local communities, it promotes values such as solidarity, inclusion, and shared reflection. The 2025 tour will also include a solidarity concert for Gaza and musical interventions in social centers in Ljubljana and Celje.

At Mostovna, an international ensemble of musicians from Slovenia, Croatia, France, Chile, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Finland, Spain, Austria, the United States, Argentina, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Estonia, Switzerland, and Australia will perform. Together, they will create an unforgettable sonic journey full of improvisation, rhythm, and exciting intercultural encounters.
