Hiking to Peace?

The event is a conference that culminates a week of workshops organized as part of the new PoSIG (Political Science Integration and Governance) master's degree program with faculty from the Balkans and the Caucasus.

The workshop's theme is "Historical Taboo and Integration." It addresses how we can overcome conflicting memories in places where conflict has been violent.

The public panel is titled "Hiking to Peace?"

As Coordinator of the Degree Course in Political Science, Integration and Governance , established in 2025 at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Trieste, I would like to point out the holding of a public session within the framework of a five-day workshop (1–5 September), organised at the Gorizia Centre, located in via Alviano 18 (Conference Center).

The workshop, titled "Historical Taboo and Integration ," will involve 19 teachers, primarily from the Balkans and Caucasus. Please note that this activity will be held behind closed doors.

In parallel, a public panel entitled “Journey to Peace?” has been planned, which will see the participation of the following speakers and interventions:
