Flavours of the Vipava Valley – Wine and Culinary Festival 2025
The festival offers an opportunity to taste premium wines and enjoy local cuisine and homemade delicacies.
The Okusi Vipavske Festival will take place on Sunday, 18 May and Monday, 19 May at Lanthieri Mansion in Vipava. This is the main culinary and wine event of the Vipava Valley, now celebrating its 17th edition.
Visitors will enjoy tastings of premium Vipava wines, local cuisine, regional delicacies, and the Vipava market, featuring producers of cheese, cured meats, olive oils, honey, jams, and juices.
A special highlight this year is the presentation of the international project GELATOn the ROAD, which aims to establish the first European Ice Cream Route. Visitors can explore an exhibition on ice cream tradition, take part in artisan ice cream tastings and evaluations, and attend workshops pairing ice cream with food and beer with cheese.
The festival opens on Sunday at 14:30 with the official opening of the POP-UP museum, followed by tastings and culinary events until 21:00. At 17:00, there will be a live podcast recording of Sladko-kisli svet (The Sweet and Sour World) with Grega Repovž from the renowned Gostilna Repovž.
On Monday, the program continues with more tastings, the local market, and workshops.
