Messerschmidt’s Heads in the City

On Monday, October 20 at 11.00, a press conference will be held at Palazzo Coronini Cronberg, presenting the arrival of two replicas of the famous Messerschmidt’s Heads in Nova Gorica and Gorizia.

The sculptures will be placed in two carefully chosen urban locations – at the EPIC District (next to SuperOSMICA) and at Piazza Sant’Antonio – where they will be freely accessible to the public. Thanks to an interactive QR code, visitors will be able to explore additional information in Slovenian, Italian, and English, offering deeper insight into the artistic and historical background of these intriguing works.

For centuries, Messerschmidt’s Heads have fascinated art historians and audiences alike with their innovation and mysterious expressiveness. Today, they continue to invite reflection on the boundaries between art, psychology, and the human condition.
