Gubana Course with Wine Tasting

Discover the typical products of the Natisone Valleys and the traditional Gubana recipe, with a live demonstration and guided tasting.

Saturday, April 12 - from 3 to 6 pm A journey to discover the products of the Natisone Valleys, with a demonstration of the gubana-making process and a sweet wine tasting with winegrower Bruna Flaibani from Cividale del Friuli. Elisa, owner of "La Gubana della Nonna", will reveal all the secrets of making traditional gubana (originally "gubanca", as preserved in the local Slovenian dialect) and tell you the story of her beloved valleys during the demonstration. Bruna, the winemaker, will guide us in tasting the wines and dishes through taste and smell to learn to recognise when food and wine are in harmony. Program: 3 pm explanation of the recipe and preparation of the gubana 5 pm wine tasting with homemade desserts Each participant will take home their own crepe, prepared during the course, to bake at home.
