GORIZIA
Birrificio Antica Contea Tfvg 77763

In 2013, two school friends, Andrea and Costantino, had the idea of creating a brewery, driven by a shared passion: British-style craft beer and love for their home territory. The result was the first authentic craft brewery in Gorizia, in a small urban laboratory. The production—initially modest and focused on originality and quality—challenges the winemaking traditions of the region, famous for its white wines and not accustomed to working with malt and hops.
In 2016, the brewery moved to Piedimonte, to a new facility equipped with a larger production plant. A welcoming tap room, inspired by the traditional British pub, allows visitors to taste the directly poured beers. Since then, production has expanded and diversified, drawing inspiration from British and Central European brewing traditions. Today, the brewery's catalogue includes a varied selection of approximately 20 beers, each with its own distinctive character.
The Antica Contea, as the brewery is now known, has become the go-to destination for craft beer enthusiasts looking to sample the best local expressions in a decidedly quirky setting.
