With over 170 years of history behind them, the seventh generation of the Ritter de Záhony family lovingly continues the tradition, tending to the vines with innovative methods and devoting great care to the different soil profiles, which give the grapes exceptional maturity, resulting in elegant wines with intense aromas. All vineyards are CEVIQ certified (Italian quality wine certification), which, beyond quality, is also a guarantee of commitment to environmental sustainability.
In 2024, the company also opened the Ritter de Záhony Wine Bar and Gardens located in a 19th century rural building, a former wheat mill, in Monastero di Aquileia. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, it overlooks the Natissa River with views of the entrance to the Via Sacra, the ancient river port of Aquileia.
Inside the Wine Bar, you can see through the connecting iron and glass door to the cellar of the winery. Guests can enjoy wines from the Ritter de Záhony cellar, accompanied by a selection of local foods. The venue also hosts private wine tastings and aperitifs, which can be booked by e-mail or telephone for any day of the week.
