Prešeren Day, the main Slovenian cultural holiday, has also become the anniversary of the opening of the first cross-border European Capital of Culture. This year again, 8 February will be marked by a diverse cultural programme taking place in both Nova Gorica and Gorizia: it will include photographic exhibitions, light projections, a music evening, and much more - further details can be found below.
The European Capital of Culture continues its mission with dedication in 2026. The EPIC Interpretive Centre is steadily filling with content – from concerts, exhibitions and performances to film screenings, conferences, round tables and lectures – and is truly becoming a meeting point for both cities. Programmes are taking place at Xcenter, and joint cross-border events are also continuing.
