Staranzano
The Staranzano Water Festival (May, 16-19) offers a reflection on historical, scientific, and environmental themes, with water as the starting point. Here, xMobil will also be presented, the GO! 2025 project created with curator Peter Purg and intermedia artist Miha Godec. They will present the results of a research conducted in March in an environmentally sensitive lagoon area near Monfalcone, where local students, under Godec's guidance, studied the composition of water. Together with the Xcenter team, Purg and Godec are also developing a filter for rainwater collection, another step towards the energy independence of the xMobil.
The festival will also showcase Godec's work 'Ex Nihilo', where water plays a central role as a means of exploration, and offers an enchanting kinetic-sound experience. Inspired by the traditions of English pottery and Peruvian musical instruments, specially designed vessels come to life.
